A new poll conducted FOR Mitt Romney's presidential campaign shows the former Massachusetts Governor doing quite well (gasp!) in the state of Iowa.
It shows Romney leading Rudy Giuliani 29%-12%.
Sure, it's his poll.
But the Des Moines Register's pollster thinks Romney is doing well in Iowa right now.
During a discussion on how to cover polls at Drake University in Des Moines, pollster Ann Selzer said Romney has tracked well in her own polling for The Register.
"Romney's the real thing right now," Selzer said. "There's a lightness we're finding in (John) McCain's support. He has more independents and younger voters, groups which aren't as likely to go to caucus in Iowa. We label his support as more 'probable' than 'definite.'"
