KC Carpenters Back Koster for A.G.

The Carpenters District Council of the Kansas City area endorsed State Senator Chris Koster for Attorney General today.

According to a Koster campaign release, the carpenters become the second major block of organized labor to voice their support for the State Senator who just switched political parties.

"We proudly endorse Senator Koster's candidacy because of his longstanding and extensive commitment to the future of working families in our state," Carpenters' District Council Political Director Joe Hudson said. "Senator Koster's reputation as a fighter for good wages, benefits, and working conditions has been there in good times and bad. His courage to stand up even in difficult and lonely situations will not be forgotten by the working people of Missouri."

Koster has endorsed measures to raise Missouri's minimum wage.

"The endorsements of 28 Carpenters' locals brings to 46 the number of organized labor organizations that have endorsed Koster's candidacy since he joined the Democratic Party six days ago, according to a press release.
