Nominated
Point of personal privilege.
The KY3 Political Blog is proud to be nominated for 4 Blogaroni awards.
It's a true honor for the hard work we've put into this venture, and at the same time an ominous sign of my declining social life.
I kid because I care:)
But there's something very cool and at the same time very lame about being nominated for a Blogaroni. I mean, we're bloggers right! Real people don't sit around and type about what they had for dinner, a TV show they think is cool, or what Roy Blunt said about Iraq. Being a part of the mainstream media and a renegade blog is a delicate, difficult balance. But bloggers are certainly changing the media playing field, and overall, it's a good thing. And I've enjoyed the adventure.
The sheer fact that there is now an Awards Ceremony for local blogs shows just how far they've come. Credit Larry Litle for that much.
So yes, I proudly accept and embrace my 4 nominations. I regularly read most of the other blogs that have been nominated and wish them all the best of luck - (But what's Arenaofideas? I've never heard of that one?!)
Still, I hope if I sweep the 4 categories, I get to rename the award. I mean, Blogaroni?
Sounds too much like lunch meat.

Congrats Dave on the nominations. I thought it was especially neat what "Anonymous" said about the blog in the "4 Blogaroni awards" link.
I have enjoyed the blog, as well. I enjoy politics alot, but I am not even close to being an expert. So, I always enjoy learning things when I read the posts.
