BREAKING NEWS: Mark Warner not running for president

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A Democrat who had been expected to run for president in 2008 has decided not to do so. Democratic sources say Mark Warner, the former governor of Virginia, has decided not to run. They say he'll make the announcement later this morning in Richmond. Since he left the governor's office in January, Warner has been touring some key states in the Democratic nomination process, including New Hampshire and Iowa. His political action committee has raised money for his exploratory effort, and for Democrats running in this year's mid-term elections. There's no word on why he decided not to run.

Warner was in Springfield in April. He spoke to David Catanese.
