Sampietro Endorses Adamik, Black

Entering the political fray, the wife of Jay Sampietro is asking Webster County voters to support two candidates in this Tuesday's primary election.

In a letter to voters, Sampietro endorses Assistant Prosecutor John Adamik for Webster County Prosecutor and current Prosecutor Cynthia Black for Associate Circuit Judge.

She calls the decision to support Adamik and Black "personal and serious."

"Since my husband, John A. Sampietro was struck and killed along the interstate in Webster County, I have worked tirelessly to create new laws that would help keep troopers and other emergency workers safe on the roadways," Sampietro writes. "John Adamik and Cynthia Black were very adamant in getting a felony conviction against the person who killed my husband, despite the fact the Attorney General's Office declined to pursue the case. It was their experience and knowledge of the law that helped create a new precedent for other counties to follow," Sampietro writes in the letter.

"John Adamik is the only candidate who has prosecutorial experience and Cynthia Black is the only candidate who has judicial experience. Their experience, along with their compassion for victims, makes them the clear choice for their respective offices."
