Hartzler, who is one of two Republicans running for the right to challenge Congressman Ike Skelton in the 4th District, took questions for about an hour and criticized the 17-term Democrat for not doing the same.
"Our current representative is not willing or interested in meeting with us or hearing our concerns, so I want to do that," Hartzler said.
