U.S. Senator Kit Bond underwent shoulder surgery Friday as a result of an accident he was involved in last May. The procedure, known as Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty, was successful, and the Senator expects to be back at work next week
"The Cardinals will have to wait ‘til next year," said Bond, who was in high spirits after the surgery.
While expecting to be sore, Bond stressed that the surgery won’t keep him from his Senate duties. Under doctor’s orders, Bond will not be able to travel for several weeks, but will be working in Washington.
