The poll of 600 Missourians was taken Aug. 10-Aug. 12.
It's a two-point drop for the President since the July poll, and a 5-point slide since Bush's 40% rating in February.
But just 23% of the people surveyed in the poll identified themselves as "Republicans," as opposed to the breakdown of 36% independents, and 33% Democrats.
Here's a bit of a surprise: Bush gets his strongest rating in central Missouri, where 53% of respondents give him the nod. Here in the Ozarks, Bush logs in at 44%.

I'm sure it all surrounds the announcement that we might just see another White House wedding. Oh joy of joys... let's keep him around a bit longer just so we can see the pageantry!
