Community leaders have organized a public forum on client change set for October 9th.
According to a release, the forum will provide "useful ideas and actions that individuals, communities and organizations in the Ozarks can take to lessen the imact of climate change."
The forum will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center.
The forum’s speakers include Lisa Drew-Alton, a Springfield architect who will talk about green buildings, Springfield City Councilman Dan Chiles, Steve Mahfood of the Missouri Nature Conservancy, Kansas City Chief Environmental Officer Dennis Murphey and Springfield attorney Brian Hamburg. Drury University Professor of Biology Dr. Wendy Anderson will moderate.
