Two months after she officially pulled the plug on a potential bid for U.S. Senate, former State Treasurer Sarah Steelman met with Roy Blunt in Springfield Wednesday, a GOP source tells The Notebook.
Blunt's campaign confirmed the tip tonight. "He wanted to talk to her about a couple of issues and get her advice," said Blunt spokesman Rich Chrismer.
A separate source says Blunt had previously met with David Steelman, Sarah's husband.
Steelman, who once dubbed Blunt, "another white guy in a suit," did not immediately return an e-mail seeking comment.
