President Obama will throw out the first pitch of the 2009 All-Star Game in St. Louis on July 14th.According to a White House release, Obama will visit Michigan and Missouri on that day. The president will conduct a town hall meeting near Detroit and then travel to St. Louis to perform first pitch duties.
The White House said Major League Baseball's focus on community service during All-Star week is in conjunction with the president's call to service through the United We Serve program at www.serve.gov.
Missouri is also the only battleground state Obama lost in 2008.
