Wright Rips Blunt

The distance between Rep. Mark Wright and Governor Blunt continues to grow. Wright is running for state auditor as a maverick independent. While he's not up on television, he does have radio commercials.

In one spot called "Political Patronage Reform," Wright says he's mad, really mad . . . and his anger is aimed at the Governor.

"Are you disappointed in our Governor awarding state license offices to his fat cat contributors as the quality of services go down? . . . They get rich, you get steamed. Well, I'm mad too," Wright says.

Listen to it all here.

Thanks Mark for telling the truth about the myth and the true outrage of fee agent cronyism. Springfield oofice is the highest grossing fee agent office in the state. It is closely followed by the other eleven state office that Blunt converted to fee offices to reward his political friends. This money should go to schools not the pockets of political insiders. Bobicus-- don't you agree that would be the Christian thing to do.

Christ was not a communist.

To expound on my previous comment:

Read the dictionary definition of "charity". It does not mean "forcing people, by means of taxation, to support the less-fortunate". Charity must be voluntary.

I'll not hijack the topic further. Just wanted to clarify.

I thought religion WAS a personal issue. I doubt the ACLU would want Christ's teachings to be put into public policy...

Christ did not say "Go ye forth, and pass laws that force the wealthy to give X amount; whip them mercilessly if they do not render their gold"... now, did he?

And we're off-topic again. What this has to do with the state license office discussion, is beyond me... but then, I need coffee.

Hey, I'm out of coffee! Maybe there's a gov't program that will buy me some...

I thought Dems were opposed to religion being used as public policy...
