Republican candidate for Governor Kenny Hulshof says Democrat Jay Nixon can't solely depend on federal funds to bring back Medicaid -- without expecting the cost to grow.

On health care, he says his plan draws down on federal funds as well but says his campaign is acknowledging he will take $50 million dollars in general revenue towards his plan.

NIXON CAMPAIGN RESPONDS:

"Jay Nixon’s health care plan will automatically draw down $430 million in federal health care dollars. A leading economist estimated that drawing down that money will create more than 11,500 jobs in Missouri and generate nearly $900 million in economic activity," says Nixon spokesperson Oren Shur.

Hulshof goes on to say that he's the "true reformer", that Nixon won't take on the entrenched special interests, pledging "We are going to reinvent the government top to bottom."
