STEELMAN CAMP CLAIMS THERE IS A DIFFERENCE ON ABORTION
Read *right-before evening news deadline* statement from Steelman's Spence Jackson below:

"In Missouri we don't negotiate our values. I am disappointed that Congressman Hulshof will not support passage of meaningful abourtion restrictions in a special legislative session. This is a classic example of Congressman Hulshof trying to bring his weak Washington style leadership to Missouri."
HULSHOF CAMP'S SCOTT BAKER RESPONDS:
"This is clearly an attempt to create a distraction. Given the fact that she has been courting both sides of the life issue, its understandable. Its also the definition of hypocrisy."

Special Session Probably Not a DealBreaker
Asked about Steelman claim that Hulshof isn't going far enough, Right to Life spokesperson Dave Plemmons responds, "That's ridiculous. She's clearly doing a good thing asking for a special session. He's clearly doing a good thing on the blood cords."
Pushed on the merits of a Special Session, Plemmons says: "I don't know if that's a dealbreaker. Neither one can vote on it if there's a special session. What either says about a special session is not going to carry the weight of the Governor's decision."
Also . . . Defends Hulshof on Merits: "The Congressman is calling for the same thing. What matters here is the result and not the way we get there. We are viewing them both favorably."
