Blunt Says McCain Could Help House Prospects

In a closed-door meeting Tuesday, House Minority Whip Roy Blunt challenged his Republican colleagues to raise more money for the National G.O.P. Congressional Committee.

According to a report by The Politico, Minority Leader John Boehner was even more blunt, telling his caucus to "get off their dead asses."

The report states that Blunt told his colleagues that Sen. John McCain’s spot atop the ballot should give Republicans the opening they need to regain their majority.

The 7th District Congressman also has penned a column in National Review, criticizing House Democrats for pushing a tax increase on U.S. energy companies. Read it HERE.
