Teamsters Endorse Nixon; Blunt on Fox

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters has endorsed Attorney General Jay Nixon for Governor.

The group boasts 65,000 "active and retired" Missouri members, and Teamsters General President James Hoffa made the announcement today in St. Louis.

“Jay Nixon has been a true friend to Missouri's working families his entire career,” said General President Hoffa. “The Teamsters Union is proud to endorse him in his bid for governor. We will do our best to reach out to our 65,000 active and retired members in the state of Missouri and let them know that Jay Nixon is the right choice for governor."

Don't bet that Gov. Matt Blunt will mention Nixon when he appears on national TV tomorrow.

Blunt's office says the Governor will be a guest on FOX News Channel’s America’s Pulse with E.D. Hill Thursday, during the first half of the show between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. CDT.
