Edwards, McCain Lead in Iowa

A new American Research Group survey shows that John Edwards and John McCain lead their party rivals in the first-in-the-nation caucus state of Iowa.

IOWA DEMOCRATS
John Edwards 27%
Hillary Clinton 23%
Barack Obama 19%

IOWA REPUBLICANS
John McCain 26%
Rudy Giuliani 19%
Mitt Romney 14%
Fred Thompson 13%

The poll also has results from New Hampshire and South Carolina. For the Democrats, Clinton leads Edwards in New Hampshire by 11 points. In South Carolina, it's Obama who's chasing Clinton. He's down by 12, with Edwards in third.

Great news for John McCain out of this survey. McCain leads Romney in New Hampshire 29%-24%, with Giuliani lagging behind. In South Carolina, McCain has a comfortable 13-point lead over "America's Mayor."
