Providing Care to the Uninsured

A Springfield Medical clinic is launching a new program designed to give discounted healthcare to the nearly 54-thousand uninsured residents in the five counties surrounding the Queen City.

Watch my KY3 News @ 10 report HERE.

The Family Medical Walk-In Clinic is starting a healthcare membership program that allows uninsured individuals and businesses to purchase services for a $50 annual monthly fee and a $30 per visit charge.

Apparently, it's the only program of its kind in Missouri and could become a new way to help solve the problem of rising healthcare costs.

Check it out, and decide for yourself.

Correction: I incorrectly reported in the TV story that The Medical Walk-In Clinic charges a $50 annual fee. It is actually a $50 per month fee, on top of a $30 per visit charge. Sorry for the confusion.
