Howell County State Senator Chuck Purgason will speak to the Springfield Metropolitan Republicans Thursday about his 2010 campaign for U.S. Senate. Puragson is running for the Republican nomination against the heavily favored Congressman Roy Blunt.
Purgason is slated to speak at 7 p.m. at the Library Center on South Campbell. He's expected to take questions.

The topic at the meeting after Purgason speaks will be: CO2 – Chemistry in Nature under Attack. Chris Donegan of the group says that the Missouri Public Utility Alliance will present information on the cap and trade legislation currently pending before Congress.
