Cornyn: Blunt's a GangBusta

The chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee proclaims that Congressman Roy Blunt has come back like "gangbusters" in his campaign against Democrat Robin Carnahan.

During a briefing with reporters in Washington Wednesday, Texas Sen. John Cornyn said Blunt came back "like gangbusters" with his second-quarter fundraising, after a disappointing first quarter. MSNBC also reports that he remarked that Robin Carnahan "seems to be unheard of and nowhere to be found."

"When asked whether Blunt being from DC would be a problem for the GOP in the race, Cornyn argued that Blunt is now running in an environment that no longer looks as friendly for the Democrats," reports MSNBC.
