More Obama Footsoldiers to Springfield

Former Mississippi Governor Ray Mabus will visit Springfield and West Plains Tuesday to contrast Barack Obama and John McCain's health care plans.

Mabus will be in Springfield from 12-12:45 p.m. at the Great Southern Operations Center on 218 South Glenstone. He will then head to West Plains, where he is scheduled to appear at the Ozark Medical Foundation Room from 3:15-4 p.m.

"John McCain’s health care plan would tax employee health care benefits for the first time, send individual health care tax credits directly to insurance companies, and give even more power to the insurance industry," reads the Obama release. "Since President Bush took office, health care costs have risen 4.4 times faster than average wages in Missouri."

Politifact says Obama's latest ad hitting McCain on health care is mostly right -- until the end.
