When do you hear about a fundraiser for a Republican nominee for president from the Democratic Party?When the party thinks announcing that visit can help highlight that candidate's possible weaknesses apparently.
Either way, the state Democratic Party alerted reporters Wednesday that John McCain will be at the St. Louis Frontenac Hilton at 6 p.m. on Monday for a campaign fundraiser. The state Dems want you to believe McCain would be George W. Bush's third term. But maybe they're just trying to distract from what could become a long, nasty race on their own side.
