Nixon to Hold Healthcare Forum in Springfield Friday, Raise Money in Ozark Saturday

Attorney General Jay Nixon will continue his statewide listening tour on healthcare Friday in Springfield.

The Friday afternoon event will focus on "people affected most" by Gov. Matt Blunt's 2005 Medicaid cuts. The roundtable will be held at the home of local resident in Springfield at 2:45 p.m.

“Matt Blunt created a health care crisis in Missouri when he slashed coverage and benefits from hundreds of thousands of regular folks,” Nixon said in a release. “On this tour, I will be hearing first-hand from the people forced to endure the consequences of Matt Blunt’s wrong priorities.”

Later Friday, Nixon will take his campaign for Governor to Jasper County for a fundraiser.
