Biden Favors Taxing Social Security

Joe Biden favors taxing the income of every American to makes Social Security solvent.

"You're either going to cut benefits or raise taxes above the first $97,000," Biden says.

By simply raising the taxed income tax, Biden says you can save it.

Hillary isn't about to go there. She favors a bipartisan solution focused on fiscal responsibility. Very general language here.

She says she'll take everything off the table, until "we move toward fiscal responsibility."

Russert is pushing Hillary here (Go Tim!) and being tough.

"I'm not putting anything on the table," Clinton says.

Obama says lifting the cap is probably the best option.

Clinton can get away with this general language for now. Let's see if her opponents challenge her on it.
