The Associated Press now reports former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee will create an exploratory committee on Monday to make a run at the Republican presidential nomination.
Huckabee has a five day tour of Iowa scheduled for next week. He'll be on "Meet the Press" Sunday to tell Tim Russert about his plans. Huckabee has been making the rounds lately promoting his new book.
U.S. News & World Report reported Friday morning he is a lock to run. A recent Rasmussen poll has Huckabee way behind more nationally-well known names like McCain, Romney, Gingrich and Giuliani.
