Cardetti, Holste to Move to Governor's Office

Democratic Party spokesperson Jack Cardetti will move from his party role to Director of Communications for Governor-elect Jay Nixon. Nixon aide Scott Holste, who served as Director of Communications in the Attorney General's office, will become Nixon's press secretary.

Campaign press secretary Sam Murphy will be Holste's deputy.

Nixon's top communications director during the campaign, Oren Shur, has said he would stay on during the transition, but then move on to do other political work.

Former Democratic House Minority Leader Jeff Harris will serve as Nixon's policy director.

As previously reported, John Watson will be Nixon's chief of staff.

Longtime Nixon aide Ted Ardini will also move with his boss to become his general counsel.
