Battleground America

SHOW-ME VOTES!

Lee's Summit straddles Cass and Jackson Counties, outside the Kansas City metro area. In 2004, President Bush beat John Kerry in Jackson County 54% to 45%. Cass County was much stronger for the Republican ticket. They won there 62%-38%.

PLUS: In Newsweek, Karl Rove says to watch St. Charles, Jefferson and St. Genevieve counties come election night. Rove believes if Obama runs well ahead of John Kerry's totals in 2004 in these areas, it could set up the Democratic nominee for a surprise win in the Show-Me State.
