Barack Obama's campaign for president will open an office in Nixa Monday.
A Nixa Democrat said the opening would mark the first Democratic presidential office in the city in decades. The office is located on 270 West Mt. Vernon, which is Highway 14. It's near the O'Reilly Auto Parts store, next to the Family Pharmacy Photo Center.
The public is invited to the kick-off of the office opening at 6:30 p.m. A birthday cake will be among the refreshments served. Barack Obama turns 47 Monday.
