Fred Is Out

According to the Associated Press and CNN, Republican candidate Fred Thompson is dropping out of the presidential race.

Bloggers of course, like Marc Ambinder, had the news first. Per Ambinder: Thompson does not plan to endorse any rivals for now, even though one of his best friends is Sen. John McCain.
