Clinton Buys Springfield Ads Today, Edwards Interested

DEMS HIT SPRINGFIELD TV MARKET FIRST
A day after Barack Obama purchased television advertising in the Springfield market, Hillary Clinton's campaign followed suit.
According to a KY3 advertising executive, the Clinton campaign purchased ads with the station this morning. Clinton's ads will begin airing in the market next week. John Edwards hasn't bought any ads yet, but recently his campaign submitted a request for rates, according to the KY3 advertising department.
Surprisingly, no Republican candidates have yet expressed interest in advertising -- although that's expected to change. "The Democrats know (Sen. Claire) McCaskill won, and did well down here," said KY3 general sales manager Bryan Cochran.
