Huckabee Wins S.C. Straw Poll

This is part of the problem of being a second-tier presidential candidate.

Mike Huckabee won the Palmetto Family Council's straw poll in South Carolina, but you wouldn't know that from the Associated Press account of the event until the ninth paragraph in.

He won with 206 votes. It probably helped that he appeared in the flesh, rather than by phone.

Rudy Giuliani was the only candidate who skipped the meeting, and was booed for it.
