Bush's Small September "Surge" in Missouri

39% of Missourians approve of the job President Bush is doing in this month's SurveyUSA tracking poll.

That's up four points from August.

Bush loses "independents" 60%-36% and 22% of Republicans don't approve. His approval rating in the Ozarks is strongest at 49%. That's also up four points from August, when his Ozarks mark sat at 44%. Just 31% of Kansas City voters give him the nod, making that his weakest area in September.
