Huckabee Says U.S. Should Cross Borders to Capture Terrorists

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee said the U.S. should do "whatever is necessary" to track down potential terrorists, even if it means crossing over another country's border without its permission.

Huckabee made the remarks in a brief question-and-answer session with the KY3 Political Notebook Thursday. In light of the recent Democratic candidate spat over tracking terrorists in Pakistan, I asked Huckabee if he believed U.S. forces should be allowed to pursue terrorist across borders.

"The U.S. has to do whatever it has to do and needs to do to protect American lives and American citizens and American interests. Certainly, you always want to work with nations in a cooperative spirit, but if its American lives at stake, I think the U.S. will do and should do whatever is necessary to protect our people," Huckabee said.
