Huckabee Drops In Prez. Rankings

The National Journal has dropped former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee two slots in its latest rankings of 2008 presidential contenders.

Huckabee slides from fifth to seventh in the ranking of G.O.P. hopefuls.

It's worse when one of the candidates beating him is "No One" (#4) and the other is a candidate not even officially running yet (#6 Newt Gingrich.)

Here's the rap on Huckabee from the Journal:

"He really should be splashing about a bit more, and is well-advised to park himself in Iowa and South Carolina. And he needs to raise more than $2 million or so for us to consider moving him up further. His funny sermon at CPAC didn't go over that well, and the more he delivers it, the more it seems canned. Fundraising projection: $2.5 million, +/- $1 million Iowa ranking: 5, 6 or 1 -- if he works it.," writes the Journal.

The top 3 remain . . . well, the top 3.

John McCain is first, followed by Rudy Giuliani and then Mitt Romney.

We'd flip Giuliani and McCain right now, would you? (See below.)
