Rep. Roy Blunt and Sen. Claire McCaskill toured damage and met with workers in Springfield Sunday.
They wore matching vests and CU hardhats, and assured the public that they are working with local and state officials to get funding from Washington.
"A a tremendous effort has been made," said Blunt.
"It's been a model of local and county and state and federal cooperation," said McCaskill.

This was McCaskill's first visit to Southwest Missouri since her November election win.
