Final Faceoff: Talent Tough on Taxes, McCaskill Apologizes

WATCH a KMBC-TV report on the final U.S. Senate debate in Kansas City Wednesday night.

The two big points:

*Sen. Talent continues to ask Claire McCaskill to release her husband's tax returns. McCaskill promises "no conflict of interest," if elected.

*Claire McCaskill apologizes for calling Sen. Talent "a false patriot." As recent as two weeks ago, I asked McCaskill if she thought using those words was a mistake and she said no.

When is the first debate between Doug Harpool and Norma Champion? If US Senate candidates are willing to debate five times surely the Springfield media can persuade at least one debate between the candidates for the city's state Senate seat. I know Norma Champion has refused but the Sprignfield media shouldn't put up with it. A few stories broadcast about her refusal and her position will change. How about a story titled the top ten reasons why Norma Champion won't debate?
