42, 43 stump for U.S. Senate candidates

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - President Bush arrives in Kansas City this afternoon to be the main attraction at a fund-raiser for Republican Senator Jim Talent.

The $1,000-a-head event will be held at the home of Scott Ward, co-president of Russell Stover Candies. It's the president's third trip to Missouri for Talent

The visit comes one day before former President Bill Clinton travels to St. Louis to speak at a fund-raising brunch for Claire McCaskill, Talent's Democratic opponent.

Clinton is the highest profile Democrat yet to travel to Missouri for McCaskill.
