SurveyUSA: McCaskill 47%, Talent 46%

The latest poll in Missouri's sizzling U.S. Senate race is no surprise.

Senator Jim Talent and Democratic challenger Claire McCaskill are in a statistical tie again.

According to the latest SurveyUSA poll, McCaskill holds a non-significant 1 percentage point advantage over Talent, 47%-46%. Just 5 percent of voters in the poll remain undecided.

900 Missouri residents were polled between Aug. 12th and Aug. 14th. Of the 900, 779 were registered to vote. Of them, 464 were judged to be likely voters. The poll's margin of error is 4.6%, either way.

Breakdown:

*McCaskill wins women by 11%; Talent wins men by 9% . . . Hello, gender gap.
*McCaskill leads moderates 2 to 1 . . . But how many moderates are out there?
*McCaskill leads by 15% in greater St. Louis, 16% in Kansas City; Talent wins the Ozarks 2 to 1 . . . Turnout, Turnout, Turnout, Which area is more motivated?

Bob-- we don't mind you being partisan but must you also misrepresent? You are just like Republican strategists like Rove-- the truth just doens't seem to matter.

As you well know the hang up in counting votes was not with Robin but with the St. Louis election board which the Republicans control. Robin can only report the results when she receives them from the local election authority.

only because the Republicans in charge of the elections had too few polling workers assigned to Democratic precincts and there were lines of voters waiting at the doors when the polls were to close. The courts kept the doors open to protect the right to vote. Since that tactic didn't work now the Republicans are trying voter id to suppress traditional democratic voters. It is really so deceptive. Why don't they just admit they still believe in a poll tax so only their kind of voters get to vote? By the way before you pull the "voter fraud " name an election im Missouri which was determined by voter fraud.
