The Los Angeles Times has a story in Tuesday's edition about efforts by James Dobson's Focus on the Family to register voters through churches in an effort to mobilize and galvanize Republican support.
Missouri is not included in the list of states being targeted (those are Maryland, Montana, Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Minnesota.)
Evangelicals will likely be enegized by the stem cell vote in the Show-Me State.

The Church has to be involved in issues such as abortion, Stem cells, Homosexuality, etc. These are sinful acts and just because they are political hot button issues does not mean the church should stay out of it. What the church must do is stop being Republican cheerleaders and investigate the issues and candidates. Many GOPers are now pro aborts, agree with gay civil unions, and want SCNT stem cells. Just because they are a Republican does not make them the best choice for pro-family issues. People like James Dobson, Jay Sekuleow follow the GOP no questions ask and are getting what they asked for. If we did away with party descriptions on the ballots and people had to investigate their choices, we'd end up with much better officials running our state and country. Education not cheerleading is what the church must do.
