The Associated Press is reporting that the Senate Democratic campaign committee has reserved more than $25 million dollars for television advertising in at least four targeted states with hot U.S. Senate races, including here in Missouri.
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee plan calls to spend $6 million dollars in Missouri to help give Claire McCaskill a boost.
"The DSCC plans call for spending . . . $6 million from late August through Nov. 7 in Missouri, where Republican Sen. Jim Talent is in a close contest with State Auditor Claire McCaskill," writes David Espo.
Espo reports that the National Republican Senatorial Committee won't talk about their plans. "We're not going to let the Democrats know what our time buying and focus strategies are going to be, certainly not late in July," said Mark Stephens, the group's executive director.
