Jackson Closing In On Thomas In Auditor's Race

29.1% to 28.5% . . .

Developing . . . Colonel Jack Jackson is closing in on Sandra Thomas in the razor-thin G.O.P. race for State Auditor. At 2:23 a.m., Jackson is trailing Thomas by just half a percentage point.

Just 1,720 votes separate Jackson and Thomas, with 24 precincts left to report. John Loudon sits in the ballpark with 24%

This is a nail-biter folks. Can the Colonel pull it off by morning?

Also . . . With about 30 precincts remaining, Claire McCaskill seems to be pulling more votes and heading closer to Jim Talent's overall total. Just depends which precincts are outstanding . . Will McCaskill overtake Talent by morning . . . or even get close?
