Highway Patrol Gets $3.4 M in Stimulus

$3.4 million dollars in federal economic stimulus money is coming to the Missouri Highway Patrol to fight crime in rural areas.

The funds will support more than a dozen investigators dedicated to working cases in rural areas. The money will also pay for purchase of equipment and supplies.
Governor Jay Nixon says the added personnel will be able to help focus on cattle rustling and other farm-related crime.
