Governor Jay Nixon will be the headline speaker at Springfield's Memorial Day Service Monday.The ceremony is slated to begin at 1 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery on 5201 South Southwood. The Governor will be introduced by Adjutant General of the Missouri National Guard Brig. Gen. Stephen Danner.

ALSO: Congressman Roy Blunt will be the keynote speaker at the Tales of World War II event in Neosho. He'll also be attending the Springfield service on Monday.
