Sen. Kit Bond is currently on a "more than week-long" trip overseas focused on intelligence in the war against Islamic extremists.
Bond, vice-chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, will visit Australia, New Zealand and make a stop in Singapore. Bond will visit with American embassy and intelligence operators, foreign intelligence and military officials, according to a release.
Bond stressed that Australia, New Zealand and Singapore are important allies to the United States in the war on terror, particularly in Southeast Asia - the second front in the war on terror according to Bond.
