Greene County Chief Deputy Jim Arnott is now running for the top job.Current Sheriff Jack Meritt is retiring to spend lots more time with his grandchildren.
No surprise really that Arnott is running. But he's officially kicking off his campaign Thursday night at 6 p.m. at the Tower Club. Jack Merritt, is Arnott's treasurer.
