Harris: Tell Koster "No Thanks"

Rep. Jeff Harris' campaign for Attorney General has sent out an e-mail to supporters, urging them to sign a "no thank-you" card to Sen. Chris Koster, who announced he was switching parties yesterday to presumably launch a race for the state's top cop in the Democratic primary.

"While I was leading the fight with the Democrats in the House to restore Matt Blunt's Medicaid cuts, Koster stood in lock step with Blunt and led the Republican effort to cut healthcare benefits for more than 100,000 Missourians, including children and seniors," Harris writes in an e-mail.

"While I was leading the fight to stop passage of the photo id bill, which would have limited access to voting for Missouri seniors and the disabled, Koster led the Republican effort to stop debate on this important measure. Because of Koster, this bill passed. Thankfully the courts disagreed with Matt Blunt and Chris Koster and ruled the law unconstitutional," Harris adds.

Here's the kicker:

"Go to ElectJeffHarris.com and sign the "No Thank You" card to Senator Koster. Tell him that you that won't support a Republican in the Democratic primary for Attorney General. A candidate who has stood with Matt Blunt on key issues as often as Koster is not the right choice for Missouri Democrats. Let him know he won't get your vote!"
