Ice Storm 2007

The roads around Springfield aren't really all that bad . . . If it weren't for those pesky power outages that have left nearly 65,000 in the surrounding area without power.

Three have died in separate crashes related to the storm. Let's hope outages are the worst result of this blast locally.

Governor Blunt has declared Springfield in a state of emergency.

Stay tuned to KY3 News for continuous updates throughout the weekend, including tonight at 6 & 10 and tomorrow morning beginning at 8 a.m. when I'll be out in it for Round 2.

And hey, looksee here, Ern Decamp made CNN.

Above, a view from my window.

Ahh, the good old Chardonnay Apartments. All of those birches and other trees around the complex set up for an ice storm nightmare.

By the way, Dave, great reporting thus far on the legislative session and Ice Jam '07.

Thanks.
