SurveyUSA: McCaskill Wins Debate Most Didn't Watch

SurveyUSA conducted an insta-poll after Sunday's Meet the Press debate.

Of the 2600 adults surveyed, just 20% said they had watched the showdown between Sen. Jim Talent and Democratic challenger Claire McCaskill. 1% weren't sure if they watched it. Hmmm.

Of the 519 who watched the debate, 47% said McCaskill won; 37% declared Talent the victor. 15% called it a draw.

According to this survey, more viewers thought McCaskill came off better.

44% said the debate gave them a less favorable opinion of Sen. Talent.
44% said the debate gave them a more favorable opinion of Claire McCaskill.

Interviews with all Missouri adults are significant +/- 1.6 percent. Results of interviews with those who watched Meet the Press are significant +/- 4.4 percent. Meet the Press does not air at the same time in all parts of Missouri. Interviews were conducted statewide after the TV show had aired in all Missouri markets.

I watched "Three Stooges" on SpikeTV instead. Although, I suspect the net result would've been roughly the same, either way.
