We're back from our whirlwind trip to Washington, D.C. where Jim Talent and Claire McCaskill glowed in the national spotlight for at least 24 hours.
*The Washington Post highlights the race with multiple articles. This piece, by the Post's Shailagh Murray, really struck a nerve with some local bloggers. They don't like having Springfield be called "the Upper South." As a carpetbagger, I don't get it. I mean, is there really "a best" way to geographically label where Springfield sits?
*The Washington Times story focuses on how Jim Talent distanced himself from President Bush in the MTP debate.
*The National Review's Kate O'Beirne declares Talent the victor. Tony Messenger agrees. Johncombestblog.com has a nice list of what everyone in the Missouri blogosphere thinks.
