League of Women Voters Forum

Sen. Norma Champion and Democratic challenger Doug Harpool are expected to appear at a candidate forum Tuesday night sponsored by the League of Women Voters.

According to blogger Granny Geek, Harpool and Champion are scheduled to be in attendance, as well as candidates from the #135th district and #138th district.

Invited candidates:
State Senate, District 30: Norma Champion and Doug Harpool State Rep, District 135: Charlie Denison and Nancy Hagan State Rep, District 138: Sara Lampe and Steve Helms

I talked to a lady from the League today, and she said they didn't have the capability to invite more candidates as they did two years ago. Understandable, but I did thank her for their efforts and for their voter guide, and for including non-Republican/Democrat candidates in the guide. They are a great organization, and we're lucky to have them in our community.
